Phenergan is a long – acting antihistamine which can be used to relieve symptoms of allergic disorders including:<\/p>\n

Hayfever
\nAllergic Rhinitis
\nUrticaria (hives)
\nAllergic reactions to insect bites and stings
\nFor the prevention and treatment of travel sickness

Ingredients<\/b>
\nEach 5ml contains Promethazine hydrochloride BP 5mg.<\/p>\n

\n

Directions & Precautions<\/b>
\nThis medication may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery.<\/p>\n

*Please note – for children under the age of 6, this product is available only by ‘Prescription only’<\/p>\n

If you are pregnant or may become pregnant, check with your Doctor or Pharmacist before taking this medicine.<\/p>\n

This product should not be used in children under 2 years of age.<\/p>\n

Avoid Alcohol.<\/p>\n

This product contains sodium benzoate, sodium sulphite, and sodium metabisulfite. Also contains sorbitol and maltitol, 1.33g and 14.12g respectively, per maximum recommended daily dose.<\/p>\n

Products containing sorbitol or maltitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.<\/p>\n

\nDosage for Allergic Disorders
\n6 to 12 years:
\nSINGLE DOSE AT NIGHT: 10-25 ml
\n2-3 TIMES A DAY DOSE: 10ml
\nSINGLE DOSE at Night for Sedation<\/p>\n

6 to 12 years:
\n10-25 ml<\/p>\n

For short term use for sedation, on the advice of a Doctor or Pharmacist. Do not use for more than 7-10 consecutive days.
\nDosage for Travel Sickness<\/p>\n

6 to 12 years:
\n10ml<\/p>\n

Single dose taken the night before travel and repeated after 6-8 hours on the following day if necessary.<\/p>\n

Dosage for Nausea and Vomiting<\/p>\n

6 to 12 years:
\n10ml every 4-6 hours to a maximum daily dose of 25ml<\/p>\n

Dosage may depend on the condition being treated and the individual response of the child. Give the lowest dose that adequately relieves symptoms. Ask your Pharmacist for advice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
